A 25‑year career, then a turn
For over 25 years, Clare Ranson operated as a global legal leader — managing complex transformation, leading multinational teams, and building deep employment law expertise. She knows what it takes to deliver ambitious projects, hold a room, and bring people together around a shared vision.
Then life invited her to do something different.
Returning to her roots in the hills of North Wales — and following a period of personal reflection that reshaped her priorities — Clare chose to step away from the corporate world to follow a long‑held passion: creating beautiful, purposeful spaces for people to gather, recharge and grow.
Today, Clare is the founder of RoR Escapes — a premium retreat and events destination in Ruthin, North Wales — and an interior designer specialising in the restoration and reinvention of period properties. She has personally transformed three properties, including a Grade II listed three‑storey house converted into four luxury suites and a bespoke wellness space — combining meticulous attention to detail with a deep instinct for how people feel in a space.
RoR Escapes is the fullest expression of that instinct — a thoughtfully curated space for leadership off‑sites, wellness retreats, creative workshops, and small group gatherings, set against the backdrop of the Welsh countryside.

She brings the rigour, strategic thinking and stakeholder fluency of a senior legal career to every project — alongside a genuine warmth, creative curiosity and an unshakeable belief in the individual. Clare's work in facilitation stretches back through her career — from a secondment
supporting the Mayor of London's apprenticeship agenda, to her years as Charitable Trustee and Co‑Chair at the internationally acclaimed Michael Clark Company. She has always been drawn to bridging people, creativity and impact.
